Heroes Behind the Scenes: Making Safety and Stability Possible

When an emergency arises, true character is revealed. During the recent mandatory evacuation impacting three QMG communities surrounding Garden Grove, a group of dedicated team members came together to navigate an incredibly challenging and rapidly evolving situation. Their commitment to our residents, willingness to step in wherever needed, and determination to find solutions exemplified the very best of QMG.

This “Caught You Doing Good” recognition goes to @Rodrigo Nadres, @Tania Daniels, @Brandy Cruze, @Ardette Spearman, and @Winston Escobar for their extraordinary efforts during the emergency evacuation.

When three QMG communities fell within the mandatory evacuation zone, this team immediately stepped up to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Rodrigo and Tania quickly organized site teams, coordinated resident communication, arranged transportation, and worked tirelessly to support residents throughout the evacuation process.

As the situation evolved, many residents required temporary hotel accommodations…

🙌 TEAM SHOUT-OUT 🙌

A HUGE thank you to the incredible team members who stepped up — some even during a holiday weekend — to support our Scherer Park and Pacific Terrace communities and help prepare the properties for an upcoming site visit. This was a last-minute call, and our team answered without hesitation, going above and beyond for their teammates and residents. 💪🏽

Over the course of several days, this amazing crew accomplished an incredible amount of work, including:

✅ Exterior cleaning & grounds improvements✅ Power washing roof areas, entryways, sidewalks & walkways✅ Roof gutter cleaning & debris removal to improve drainage✅ Stairwell cleaning, repairs, painting & detailed sanitation✅ Full hallway cleaning across all three floors✅ Deep cleaning & disinfecting of common areas✅ 100% interior unit inspections addressing health & safety concerns, deficiencies & preventive maintenance needs

Cinco De Mayo - Contest

Today to celebrate a battle of Puebla that occurred

on May 5, 1862 in Mexico against the French and we had our ATAP Kids (All Things are Possible) after school program give us their best jokes, riddles and the puns were very good. With some little research on their phones, they wrote down some good ones and here are the winners of todays social event. Some knew of the battle of Puebla and some did not (schools are making an effort) and we had what they call "Walking Tacos" and played games and some worked on their homework. Great job to Ms. D in helping them get motivated and guiding them.

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!

Hello Everybody!

I wanted to give a big shout out and a HUGE thank you for the team members that have helped out at multiple properties here in OC, for multiple inspections and property walks. Heroes Landing recently had a special property walk with ownership and Orange County Council members, so we were able to get team members to band together and prep the property to look clean and presentable. Fresh paint, power washing, and some elbow grease really made it work and the property looked great!

Sunswept also had an Inspection with the Housing authority where we also put together another team to get into unit to preinspect and do repairs prior to the Inspection date. The team really worked hard to be inspection ready! thank you for that! This week we also put a team together on short notices to get ready for an Inspection with Garden Grove…

Better Together: Strengthening Compliance & L&D Collaboration

Special thanks to our compliance team, Maribel Singh and Michelle Alvarez, for allowing me to tag along to better understand our compliance processes and gain hands-on experience in the Quality Way.

I have been joining Michelle during her onsite visits and have been consistently impressed by her thoroughness and her eagerness to assist her portfolio in being audit-ready. From her deep dive into Yardi recertification and monthly procedure workflows to her clear explanation of the annual notice process, Michelle is truly a subject matter expert in her craft.

The collaboration between our departments is vital. It helps us provide standardized operating procedures and create the training resources needed to better equip our on-site staff. By shadowing and mentoring our teams together, we can identify specific training gaps and prioritize the development of customized resources.

Together, we are empowering our teams to achieve 100% compliance!

Team Shout Out: Recognizing Shevette Moore at Puerto Del Sol

I want to take a moment to recognize Shevette Moore at Puerto Del Sol. As Community Managers, we know all too well the "multiple hats" our onsite teams must wear, and Shevette wears them exceptionally well.

During our recent onsite visit, Shevette welcomed the Compliance and L&D teams with open arms. She provided invaluable feedback that helped us identify training gaps and find ways to further streamline our operations. Under the guidance of Senior Compliance Specialist Michelle Alvarez, Shevette jumped into action to schedule recertification appointments while simultaneously taking the lead in maintenance operations—working side-by-side with her technician to keep daily tasks on track.

Beyond her operational skills, we were struck by her passion for her residents. Her patience during recertification interviews ensures that compliance requirements are met while residents feel supported and guided. Her attention to detail was also on full display as she helped identify specific discrepancies regarding…
